The Sky is the Limit

Linda Hager
There’s so much great information and the sky is the limit right now as to what Hadley can offer.

You’ll have to excuse Linda Hager for being a little giddy after experiencing the new Hadley website. After all, the 62-year-old Independence, Missouri woman has struggled to put on nail polish for as long as she can remember.

“There are so many wonderful sections of the website and it’s so easy to navigate,” says Hager, who has had vision problems since the age of nine. “I watched the video on how to apply nail polish and was amazed at how easy Hadley made the process, providing step-by-step instructions. Styling my own hair is next, because I have struggled with that for a long time.”

A military wife who has lived all over the world, Hager said that both she and her brother have had retinitis pigmentosa (RP) since childhood, but their mother kept it a secret, not telling either of them. Years later, living with her husband in Germany, Linda was pulled over by a police officer after failing to see a stop sign. “He suggested I get my eyes checked and only then did an ophthalmologist tell me I had RP,” she recalls.

No matter what she terms her “very poor vision,” Linda is active, enjoys traveling throughout the country, and works as a business manager for her church. The drive to do even more makes the new Hadley website an exciting tool.

“It’s becoming a little addicting,” she laughs. “I especially liked the Seeing AI series—a free app for iPhones that audibly describes what’s in front of the phone’s camera. It’s also helped me with my job where I can read signatures on checks much better.”

“There’s so much great information and the sky is the limit right now as to what Hadley can offer. I love everything Hadley does and can’t wait to take more workshops.”
