Foundations of American Government

This course provides an understanding of the American system of government as set up in the Constitution and carried out over time. It begins by discussing the framework of the U.S. government and the politics of the American people. Then it presents the three branches of the U.S. government, as well as the bureaucracy. Finally, it discusses civil rights and civil liberties, and public and foreign policy in the United States. The goal of this course is to provide insights into the American political system, its institutions of government, and its policies.
