Course Description
In North America, the majority of adults who are visually impaired drove a car
prior to their vision loss. For many of these individuals, the decision to give
up the car keys is often difficult. This course is designed primarily for people
who were once drivers, although it can also benefit those who have never driven.
It provides information about being a nondriver in a society where the ability
to drive is generally assumed. Exploring various transportation issues will
enable students to establish and maintain their ability to travel independently.
