School personnel who encounter elementary school-aged children who are blind or visually impaired; not appropriate for certified orientation and mobility specialists
Course Description
Would you like to supplement the orientation and mobility (O&M) services that the blind or visually impaired child in your life receives? This course suggests many activities that can help elementary school-aged children independently explore their surroundings. This course won’t turn you into a certified O&M specialist, but it can help you select games and activities that reinforce the O&M skills children learn in elementary school.
