- Hounds for Hadley 2012:
The 7th Annual Hounds for Hadley Dog Walk, held on October 6, 2012, benefitted the school's Blinded Veterans Initiative. Officially launched on Veterans Day 2011, the initiative is geared toward all blinded veterans, including those who experience age-related and other vision loss. The goal is to help veterans adjust to their visual impairment, assist them in pursuing personal and professional goals and support their families.

- Today Show Features Urban Miyares:
In August, Hadley was featured on NBC's The Today Show. The piece, produced by Winnetka's very own Mike Leonard, focuses on how Hadley helps individuals live independent lives. The main subject is Urban Miyares, a blinded veteran and advocate and friend of the Hadley School, who has overcome many obstacles and achieved high levels of success as an entrepreneur, a sportsman and a hands-on philanthropist who helps others who are disabled.
