Internet Essentials

The Internet has evolved into a virtual world of its own, providing the ability to search for, interact with, and share information. The course introduces key Internet concepts, as well as basic tools and strategies for getting online, including appropriate access technology. The lessons discuss using a desktop computer and a mobile device. The course also presents advanced skills, such as searching for information or making a purchase. The goal of this course is to provide students with the basic skills and knowledge to use the Internet effectively.
Prerequisite Skills and Materials: access to computer; Web browser; email program; connection to the Internet; and suitable access technology, if needed.
