Module Description
Marketing is a major part of all businesses. Every company or individual needs to find customers and persuade them to buy the business's products or services. As a major part of the business plan or even as a stand-alone document, the marketing plan is a researched, detailed, and well-written report that people within the new company and those outside the new company will evaluate and use. In general, the marketing plan will discuss how the business will use advertising, public relations, and sales techniques to carve out a niche in the larger market that it seeks to attract. This module identifies the information needed to create a marketing plan. It concludes with a description of the elements that make up a marketing plan. This module uses a case study about the Cyber Cafe on Walton and provides the sample Cyber Cafe's marketing plan. This plan gives you an example of how small businesses attract customers.
